The people who are they? Björn Ulvaeus was in a popular Swedish folk group called Hootenanny Singers . Benny Andersson played keyboards in the hit Swedish rock band Hep Stars . They met in 1966, started writing songs together, and quickly realized they worked well as a team. 2. Enter Agnetha & Anni-FridAgnetha Fältskog was already a successful solo pop singer in Sweden. Anni-Frid Lyngstad ( Frida ) had won a national talent competition and was building her own career.
